چکیده Abstract: The discovery of carbon nanotubes is one of the most important events in the field of nanotechnology. Carbon nanotubes were first discovered by Sumio Ijima in 1991 by chance. Ejima was studying the surfaces of carbon electrodes using an arc discharge method that encountered carbon nanotubes. In a carbon nanotube, the carbon atoms are arranged in a cylindrical structure, meaning that the material is a hollow tube with a wall material. It is made up of carbon atoms. Current research shows that carbon nanotubes (CNTs) as biomaterials have great potential for restorative medical applications. Reconstructive medicine focuses on advanced techniques used to create functional tissue, repair or replace tissue and organs lost due to wound or disease. In this regard, the structural and mechanical properties of CNTs have made them suitable for use as composites in tissue engineering. CNTs can be used as carriers in drug delivery and gene therapy, so they are suitable for therapeutic work in restorative medicine. The outer surface of carbon nanotubes can be functionalized for targeted drug delivery and imaging agents. Other inherent physical properties of these nanotubes can also be used for therapeutic and imaging applications. The surface roughness of nanotubes is of great importance, which is very important for the type of properties and application of nanotubes. In this study, using EFM and based on Sobol sensitivity analysis, three factors of velocity, advancement and cutting depth in the process of grinding carbon nanotubes are investigated. Cutting depth has been introduced as the determining factor with 92% surface roughness of nanotubes.
