The ecological observation in the present study was carried out over a period of one year i.e. from March 1991 to February 1992. It is an attempt to correlate the population density of suface rotifera with some physico-chemical parameters, i.e. air and water temperature, rain fall, dissolved oxygen, BOD, COD, pH, total nitrogen, total hardness, TDS and alkalinity.
