چکیده The light source is a critical factor that influences shoot regeneration in in vitro culture. Using LED spectra is a tool to improve the quality of plant micropropagation. The objective of this study was to develop a plant tissue culture protocol for organogenesis in Syngonium podophyllum Schott “Emerald Green” using optimization of several variables, including media, cytokines, and light spectra. Benzylaminopurin reduced the induction period of adventitious shoots (5 times) compared with thidiazuron. The time taken to induce regeneration was 14 days shorter in the half-strength MS than in full-strength MS. Hence, shoot regeneration of S. podophyllum was affected not only by cytokinin type but also by MS strength media. Violet light produced the highest number of shoots, petiole diameter, and fresh / dry weight. White light was associated with the largest leaf area and shoot length, while blue light was associated with the shortest shoot length. The highest PIABS (Photosynthetic performance index) was observed in plantlets under violet light. The maximum efficiency of photosystem II was achieved in plantlets under violet light. The use of the violet light spectrum has a stimulating effect on shoot induction and proliferation. The use of different light spectra showed that the light requirements vary according to the regeneration stage.
