TiO2 nanocrystals were hydrothermally prepared in acidic solution. The NCs with sizes about 20 nm were used to form a uniform sol of TiO2 in 2-poropanol solution. The photoanode of the dye sensitized solar cell was prepared by facile electrophoretic deposition (EPD) of the sol on the FTO substrate. Different deposition times in applied voltage of 5.0 were used to make different thicknesses. The results demonstrated that the best efficiency is achieved for deposition time of 10 min. The photovoltaic characteristics of the optimized cell were 776 mV, 12.48 mA/cm2, 66% and 6.44% for Voc, Jsc, F.F. and efficiency respectively.
