چکیده

ABSTRACT Background and Objective: Low back pain is very common in the adult population and accounts for more time lost from work than other diagnoses. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of Whole Body Vibration (WBV), core stability training and combined exercises on dynamic balance and spinal curvature in women with chronic nonspecific low back pain. Materials and Methods: In this study, 60 women from non-specific chronic low back pain referred to clinics in a number of Tehran districts with a mean age of 52.64 ± 4.27 who were randomly assigned to four groups: whole body vibration(WBV), core stability training , combined exercises (WBV and core stability) and control group. The training(core stability training and WBV) was conducted thirty minutes in day, three times per week, for a total of 8 weeks, but combined training(5 minutes warm up, 10 minutes core stability training, 10 minutes WBV and 5 minutes cool down). Dynamic balance, Lordosis and Kyphosis angles were measured before and after the intervention. Data analysis was done by SPSS software version 16 using paired t-test and one-way analysis of variance with a confidence level of 95% (p <0.05) was performed. Results: After intervention, whole body vibration and core stability training had a significant effect on dynamic balance and lordosis angle (p <0.05), but the kyphosis angle did not change significantly (p> 0.05). Combined exercises had a significant effect on dynamic balance and lordosis angle (p <0.05). In the control group, there was no significant effect on dynamic balance and lordosis angle and kyphosis in women (p> 0.05). Conclusion: Combined exercises (core stability and WBV) are recommended for improvement of the dynamic balance, lordosis angle of chronic nonspecific low back pain patients.
