The study aims to find out the Role of Facebook Social Media on the Development of Writing Skills in Iraqi Intermediate school Classes. Writing Skill is an important part of language learning. This study studies intermediate-level English learners’ performance before and after using Face book Social Media that were introduced to the study group as an intervention. It examines whether Face book Social Media affects the writing skills in the second language acquisition. The data revealed positive change in learners’ performance and the analysis indicated that using the Face book Social Media helped enhance learning of writing skill, confidence, class participation and that, students had a positive tendency toward the use of Face book Social Media in education.
