All scientific fields and skills must be developed and enriched with various data to be updated and useful for humans. In this regard two main processes are involved in the development of each knowledge and skill: (1) Training: a short-term process that facilitates skills development required to do a special task, for instance, how to apply a special software package. (2) Education: this is a long-term learning process and mainly focuses on the improvement of concepts and theories, and also their applications. Education learning mainly occurs at schools, colleges, and universities. In the following sections the history, concepts, and different applications of metabolomics science were exactly described to explain its importance in the plant sciences, and the necessity of its teaching.
