With the rise of online shopping, traditional and online herbal shops are in fierce competition. This study compares the two models, focusing on product variety, sales volume, marketing strategies, and customer trust. Data was collected from 10 traditional herbal shops and 10 online stores. The results show that while online shops excel in quick access and product diversity, traditional herbal shops continue to thrive due to personal consultations and customer trust. Herbal distillates remain the top-selling product in both models. Herbal distillates are the top-selling product in both traditional and online shops. Online stores also offer a wide range of capsules, oils, and powdered herbs. Traditional shops mainly source products from local suppliers. Online shops rely on reputable brands and industrial suppliers. In traditional shops, personal consultations and close relationships with sellers play a key role in building trust. Online stores build trust through user reviews and certified products, though concerns about product authenticity still exist. Traditional herbal shops rely heavily on word-of-mouth and loyal customers. Online stores use Instagram, special discounts, and digital ads to attract new customers. Traditional shops face challenges like limited accessibility and a lack of quality control. Online stores deal with issues such as counterfeit products and delayed deliveries. While traditional herbal shops continue to hold a special place due to personal consultations and customer trust, online stores are expanding rapidly because of faster access, more variety, and convenience. The future of the herbal market likely lies in combining both models, offering an ideal solution for the growing demand for medicinal plants and herbal distillates.
