In this paper, we construct a new class of Finsler metrics which is an extension of the class of Berwald metrics. We prove that every complete Finsler metric in this class is Riemannian, whenever its Cartan tensor is bounded. Then we show that the class of generalized Douglas-Weyl metrics contains this new class of Finsler metrics.
