Abstract
In this paper consider the block normal matrix GD = A B C D ) , where A 2 Cnn, B 2 Cnm, C 2 Cmn and D 2 Cmm. We nd the block normal matrix GD0 = ( A B C D0 ) such that be the closest matrix to GD and has prescribed eigenvalues 1 and 2.
