The examination of impoliteness strategies in literature provides a distinct perspective for exploring the utilization of rude, aggressive, or impolite language by female characters in discourse and interpersonal communication. This analysis sheds light on the dynamics of power and gender roles within the textual context. This study analyzed Brogan's Eclipsed applied feminist-stylistic analysis of the impoliteness strategies employed by the female characters in the play. The study examined the research highlighting the implicit associations between language and gender and how these associations can perpetuate discrimination. By advocating for more inclusive language practices, we can work towards a society that values diversity and provides equal opportunities for marginalised groups. Ultimately, this study will argue that linguistic reform is crucial to dismantling oppressive systems and creating a more just and inclusive world for all. It explored the impoliteness theory, which illuminates how characters use rude, aggressive, or impolite language to assert their authority, resist control, or challenge social norms. By examining characters' linguistic patterns and choices, this study could identify how impoliteness was used to transport power and shape the dynamics of social interactions among female characters. Furthermore, the study highlighted the implicit associations between language and gender. The researcher analysed gender bias in Brogan's Eclipsed, using Mill's (2002) Feminist Stylistics to uncover the ideology that underlies the text. Culpeper's (2011) impoliteness theory was also used to analyse the play, revealing how impoliteness was used to challenge authority, express frustration, and gain power in social interactions. The analysis revealed gender inequality, women's agency and mpoliteness in the paly. The present study can carry implications for language and communication techniques. It is provided a significant insight into the portrayal of gender roles, power dynamics, and social norms in the play. This study may assist in determining how the language and communication techniques used in the play reflect, support, or challenge gender norms and stereotypes.
