Here we investigated the effect of using drama performance on the speaking skills of English learner. To this aim, a group of 13 first-year English language students (ELS) were randomly selected and after taking a pretest, trained via a formal university program in one semester. The study was quasi-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The instrument was some tests based on IELTS speaking tests. Analyzing the scores using paired t-test shows that there are meaningful differences (P<0.05) between the scores of learners before and after training through drama performance.
