The problem of vibration control in tall buildings using an active pendulum as the vibration absorber using fuzzy control is considered. Fuzzy logical rule base is presented and the performance of the fuzzy controller is verified by simulation tests. The amount of energy loss in the actuator is also calculated and the possibility of the energy regeneration from the structure is investigated. Active control together with an energy regeneration is also investigated. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the fuzzy active control when the energy regeneration part is also active.
