This book basically covers the syllabus for simple prose texts.Students of English literature and English translation are expected to obtain a preliminary knowledge about English prose in this B.A. Course.Therefore,, some general notions about words, sentences, paragraphs and literary devices are introduced here.Since one of the objectives of this book is to motivate undergraduate students to read various texts more analytically , some extracts are also followed by explanations that help the readers in obtaining an analytical appreciation of the texts
