The effective field theory (EFT) approach has been utilized to calculate the astrophysical S-factor related to the transition to the initial 2P1/2− excited state of the 7Li nuclei in the 3H(α, γ)7Li radiative capture reaction. We investigated the electric transitions of (E1 + E2) that arise from the 2S1/2, 2P1/2, and 3S1 incoming states within the energy range of E ≤ 1.2 MeV, concentrating on leading order (LO) effects while considering Coulomb interactions. This study builds on our earlier work regarding the 3H − α reaction, particularly the transition to the ground 2P3/2− state of 7Li. The findings from both investigations have been combined to calculate the S34(E), which has been compared with available theoretical and experimental results.
