Abstract

Introduction: Nowadays, knowledge is announced the most strategic organizational resource. Efficient and effective deployment of knowledge management is proposed as a key competence of the modern era, which can provide the advantage of sustainable competition.The importance of knowledge management as an important reason for maintaining competitive advantage and improving the performance of organizations is recognized. In fact the results of numerous studies, carried out in different parts of the world, indicates the direct effect of knowledge management on performance improvement. If the quality of organizational knowledge is good, It can be expected that the performance of the management and organization will significantly improve. Methodology: The method of this essay is cross-sectional and correlational study that has been conducted as a survey. The study population included all managers, experts and heads of sport organizations. For data collection, we used standard questionnaires, K-S test and spearman correlation were used.For testing the conceptual model, structural equation modeling and smart-PLS (version 3) software was used. Results: The results showed that knowledge management components including knowledge recognition, knowledge acquisition, knowledge development, knowledge sharing, knowledge use and knowledge maintenance, and organizational knowledge have a significant relationship with knowledge management. This emphasizes the importance of knowledge management on organizational performance in sport organizations. Discussion: The results of the research are consistent with, Halsapel (2005) and Ho (2001). It seems that authorities and managers of the Sport Organizations as the main vice principal to should provide opportunities for increasing the learning of the organization's experts and improving their performance.
