An exact analytical method for magnetic field and electromagnetic torque calculation in H-type stator core permanent magnet flux switching machines (HC PM FSM) considering slotting effects, magnetization orientation and winding layout has been proposed in this paper. The analytical method uses a sub-domain approach and is based on the resolution of Laplace and Poisson equations and Maxwell equation in polar coordinate. The proposed method is applied on the performance computation of two prototypes HC PM FSMs, i.e., a one-phase 12S-15P and a three-phase 24S-10P motor. The results of these models in open-circuit and full-load conditions are validated by FEM method.
