Due to their high biological activity, heterocyclic compounds have a great role in the development of medicine, such as antibacterial, antimicrobial, anticancer activities, etc. In this study, using a multicomponent reactions of aldehydes, malononitrile and α-naphthol in the presence of calcium oxide catalyst and under ethanol solvent conditions and reflux temperature, new derivatives of mono, bis-3,4-dihydro 2H -benzo[h]chromene (scheme A,B) were synthesized in high yields. The synthesized compounds were identified using infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry. We also used FE SEM, histogram, EDX and XRD analyzes to identify and confirm the structure of nano calcium oxide catalyst. Finally, the favorable efficiency and easy separation of the catalyst are among the advantages of the present method.
