Tetrazole derivatives are of interest as important components of drugs, e.g., antibiotics, antiallergics or hormonal preparations. In addition, these compounds have wide applications in agriculture (as components of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, plant growth regulators, etc.) or as components of highly energetic formulations. 12 The simplest synthesis of tetrazoles is based on the [3 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of nitrites with hydrazoic acid or its derivatives. For example, the interaction of nitrites with NaN3 in the presence of acidic catalysts leads to 5-substituted tetrazoles.3 Zeolites as reusable solid catalysts have been widly used. Recently, nano catalysts have been considred due to their efficiency.4 In this work, NaY zeolite has been modified and fanctionalized by sulfamic caid and has been used as a nano catalyst for catalyze one pot condensation of soduim azide and different nitrites for preparation corresoinding 5-substituted 1 H-tetrazoles (Scheme 1 ).
