In this project, the synthesis of MnCoFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles and its functionalization was carried out by the ovalbumin, which is the main component of egg white and a non-toxic, biocompatible and biodegradable. The synthesized MnCoFe2O4@Ovalbumin magnetic nanoparticles were investigated by FT-IR, XRD, FE-SEM, EDX, VSM, TGA, DTA and TEM analyses. The synthesis of Pyrimidopyrimidine derivatives was carried out by the synthetic nanoparticles as a catalyst through a multicomponent reaction between the aromatic aldehydes, barbituric acid and urea or thiourea. The advantages of this work can mention high efficiency, short reaction time, recoverable catalyst and reusability during four times, and the use of biocompatible and inexpensive materials in the synthesis of nanoparticle.
