Abstract

This work is a translation of the book Anthropology (Insanshinasi) written as part of the series of six books on the subject of Foundations of Islamic Thought (Mabānī Andīshe Islāmī). In this work, we have translated that section which intellectually ontological reality and the goal of his life. The first lesson deals with general points such as the definition and importance of Anthropology, the method of discussion in it, the position of this book in the collection of six books, and the sequence of topics under Anthropology. In the second lesson the existence of the immaterial soul is proven and the relationship between the body and the soul is mentioned. The third lesson discusses the principality of man’s soul in opposition to his body, and the natural characteristics of man. The fourth lesson deals with the possibility and then the necessity of the soul’s survival after death. In the fifth lesson, the purpose of man’s creation and the purposefulness of man’s life are explained.
