Magnetite sulfuric acid (Fe3O4–SO3H) magnetic nanoparticles have been used as a heterogeneous, recyclable, and efficient catalyst for synthesis of mono and bis-[3,3-di(indolyl)indolin-2-ones] in good yields at room temperature under ultrasonic irradiation. Some of these compounds were assayed for in-vitro antimicrobial activity.
